The issue I'm having is that if I place 3 separate cargo train depots in different places in the city all cargo, regardless of where it's destination or source is in the city seems to only go to one of the three, shutting the one everythings going to off causes the cargo to start flowing through one of the other two so I know the lines are set up in a way that makes the stations accessible. Note that in the first image I have two stations opposite each other. The lower one is for south industry side. The top one is connected to all the northern side of industry. I have three parallel two way two lane railways. That would cause issues, wouldnt it? So if there is a railway that is busy, make two parallel two way two lane railways and build a short bypass for every stations. Imagine if you replaced your busy highways with two lane two way road. Unfortunately the vanilla has only two railways. Keep in mind the railways themselves too. You should then make distribution centers in your city, with one cargo station to distribute goods to commercial buildings. You dont want your entire industry area to use one train station, unless its a very small area. They key to placing cargo stations without having train and truck bottlenecks is to place them throughout you area. Have suggestions for the sidebar / topbar? Mail the mods!
